Cup Exit

  Wednesday 18th March 2015

Last Saturday saw us knocked out of the Challenge Cup by a determined Hykeham side. Without doubt that was one of our strongest performances of the season and we can be proud of each and every single player there. Against a side who are one of the favourites to win the league this year, we battled and pushed. A fantastic finish from Kurt saw the scores draw level and put Hykeham on the back foot.  We continued to push but unfortunately couldn't deliver the killer blow.  At the other end our defence held strong against a battling Hykeham front line. The fact that MotM was shared by Kyle and Ross at the back shows the nature of the game. We can leave the competition with our helds held high and knowing we took our victors to the very last kick of the game with their goal coming right at the death.

Kurt Crossley Reaches 100

Last Saturday saw our club captain Kurt Crossley become the first United player to reach a milestone 100 appearances for the club.  In that time he's scored 87 goals which is an incredible ratio. Goals which have contributed to League and Cup success since our formation in 2011. He has been a leader on and off the pitch for players and is an inspiration for players and supporters alike.  From all at Skegness United FC, congratulations Kurt!

Footgolf Tournament

This Sunday, Skegness United took on Skegness Town at the opening of The Elms Golf Centre in Wainfleet new Footgolf facility. What proved to be a thoroughly entertaining morning saw both teams pitted against each other in a friendly battle. The final hole saw Skegness Town walk away as winners but without a doubt the event itself proved to be a huge success. Photos to follow...

Merry Christmas to All

  Monday 22nd December 2014

We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our players, committee and supporters a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Our first match of 2015 is a very tricky tie away to Wyberton. They have proved to be a very strong side this season and we expect a tough challenge there.

Top of the League

  Sunday 14th December 2014

Saturday's resounding 4-1 win away at Louth Town takes us to the top of the Sills & Betteridge League for the first time this season. Although we are on top through goal difference, that is where we are. We have some very tough games ahead including a visit to Horncastle next week.

The top of the table is very tight with ourselves, Skegness Town and a couple of other teams fighting for the top spot. It's going to be a very close season!

Football Remembers

This weekend we took part in the Football Remembers campaign to celebrate the 1914 Christmas truce. We, along with our opposition - CGB Humbertherm took the field for a picture to mark 100 years since the event. Thanks to Humbertherm for joining us.
