Top of the League

  Sunday 14th December 2014

Saturday's resounding 4-1 win away at Louth Town takes us to the top of the Sills & Betteridge League for the first time this season. Although we are on top through goal difference, that is where we are. We have some very tough games ahead including a visit to Horncastle next week.

The top of the table is very tight with ourselves, Skegness Town and a couple of other teams fighting for the top spot. It's going to be a very close season!

Football Remembers

Football Remembers

This weekend we took part in the Football Remembers campaign to celebrate the 1914 Christmas truce. We, along with our opposition - CGB Humbertherm took the field for a picture to mark 100 years since the event. Thanks to Humbertherm for joining us.

Derby Day - Honours Even

  Saturday 29th November 2014

The first Derby Day of the season saw both sides battle out a draw at a muddy Burgh Rd. In the end the result was probably fair with a goal in either half to share the points. The result sees us up to 2nd in the league just behind Town but there's all to play for. Both sides have dificult games to come but there is still a long way to go!

It also is worth noting how great it was to have Assistant Manager, Jason Smith back in the dugout today!

Race Night in October

We are pleased to announce we will be holding one of our ever-popular Race Nights on 16th October in Churchills. As always, this promises to be a fun night with a chance to win some money!

Our previous race night events have been a great success and we look to continue this. You can sponsor a race or a horse or simply come along for the fun - all are welcome! Tickets will be available from any of the United committee members and also on match days from the food outlet. We look forward to seeing you all there!

Emphatic Win

  Monday 01st September 2014

Saturday saw us record our top score of the season and produce a performance to be remembered. From the first 30 seconds through to the final whistle, United held control of the game and the score could so easily have been more but for the crossbar and some fine saves. We dominated possession in a match where we fielded a strong team against opposition coming off a 4-0 win. We knew Rasen Town would be confident following their win last week but it took only a few minutes for us to find gaps in their defence and capitalise.  An excellent performance all round which keeps us second in the league, continuing a good start to the season.

We travel to Humbertherm next week for what will promise to be a tricky tie. CGB Humbertherm have historically proved to be a diificult side to play against and we expect no different this coming week.
